Two nights before the full moon.
Dianthus

Also known as pinks, these are a remnant of some plants that I planted two summers ago. They are sold as annuals here, but most of them came up again last year. Only a few made it this year.
Sunrise

This time of year, the sun rises from behind the hill to the north east of our property.
Marinated Halibut
Jack made Marinated Halibut last night, using a recipe from our New Good Housekeeping Cookbook. It was excellent, and will be something we make again.
Volunteer

I’ve been doing some weeding in the courtyard, but this volunteer was too pretty to pull up.

Purple Flower

More flowers from the Fine Arts Center. I am informed that the flower that I posted on Friday was Bee Balm.
Red Flower (Bee Balm)

I have no idea of the name of this red flower that I saw in the Fine Arts Center court yard.
I am informed by several sources that this is bee balm.
Chihuly

Yesterday, a friend took me to the Chihuly exhibit at the Fine Arts Center here in Colorado Springs. I may go again, since some friends in Denver mentioned wanting to see it. Photo taking was allowed in the courtyard, but not inside. I was amazed to see the glass outside, since Colorado Springs is known for its summer hail storms.
Early morning grazing

From left to right: Smoke, Rags and Hap. I left the gate to the new field open last night, and the horses are taking advantage of my forgetfulness. Usually, they only get a few hours on the new field in the late afternoon, so they don’t eat it down to the ground.
