I’ve been trying to take photos of subjects besides schnauzers and sunrises. Rion apparently thinks that if I have a camera in my hands inside the house, I must want him.

The Aloe That Ate the Coffee Table

I love this plant. Unfortunately I really ought to trim back these wonderfully predatory arms. Based on past experience, they will eventually pull the roots out of the pot, killing the plant.

More Photos from COSine

I’ve uploaded some of the photos that I took at COSine, including this one of our chair, Mary Morman.

The lower house was built a few years after we moved here. The house on the ridge was for sale when we were looking, but out of our preferred price range. I also wanted a place with relatively flat ground for a horse pasture. Having seen the lightning walk along the ridges during thunderstorms, I am just as glad we didn’t pick the place on the high ground.
