Decades ago, my grandmother made these door stops out of needlepoint plastic canvas and bricks. These are the sides of the doorstops: there are an owl and a koala on the respective fronts of the stops.

 

I took this photo in the house where I was critter sitting. One of the children in this household is apparently an artist, and I believe this is his or her artwork.

This lamp hangs over our dining room table. It was given to us by a friend when she moved out of state years ago.

I had a scare when I saw my Boston Terrier chewing on this fragment of a larger bone.  I started envisioning big vet bills before I took it away from him.
