Eric Lindsay and Jean Weber are SF fans and friends that we visited in Queensland in 1999. Eric is a devoted diarist and has finally updated his blog about Cyclone Yasi and its aftermath at Eric Lindsay’s Blog February 2011. It looks as though he was waiting for the restoration of his ADSL to do so.
Morning Walk – November 2002
I am gradually reorganizing some files on our website, and discovered these photos of a morning walk that I took not long after to got my first digital camera. I remember that I kept losing the battery charge because it was so cold, and I was afraid I had a defective battery until I got the camera back in the house.

I’ve been trying to take photos of subjects besides schnauzers and sunrises. Rion apparently thinks that if I have a camera in my hands inside the house, I must want him.
The Aloe That Ate the Coffee Table
I love this plant. Unfortunately I really ought to trim back these wonderfully predatory arms. Based on past experience, they will eventually pull the roots out of the pot, killing the plant.
