We haven’t had many snowstorms this winter, and this looks as though it may be the first significant one. I went out early to the grocery store, and have some beef stew cooking in the crock pot. It is snowing heavily as I write this. This storm is coming from the north, and they are forecasting up to two feet of snow for our micro-clime.
I discovered today that I don’t consider it a real snow anymore unless we get close to a foot of snow. Of course, it can still be a real nuisance.
We had one of those odd days when the snow reached a certain height and then stopped accumulating, despite apparent precipitation.

It may be cheating to say we live in the Rockies, but without a doubt, the Rockies start less than a mile to the west of us.

Sixty degrees Fahrenheit yesterday, and snow today. It was warmer when I woke up than it is now.
