Bits

My friend D adopted this cattle dog cross puppy from a rescue last weekend.  Isn’t she cute?  I am sure Rion is going to love her.  (We are waiting a week to introduce them as a sort of quarantine, even though the puppy has had all her shots.)

Braided River from Exit Glacier

Exit Glacier received its name after it was used by the first expedition to cross the Harding Ice Field from Chernof Glacier near Homer to a glacier near Seward.  The expedition took eight days in 1968. Braided rivers are formed by glaciers due to sediment deposits from the glacial run-off.
