This hardly ever happens: I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I have found both Lightning and Rion on the same bed.

Nice and Trim

Rion looks nice and trim after a visit to the Bad Place this morning.

In mid-September, I went to Adam’s Mountain Cafe with a friend. It is still a going concern, despite being flooded this summer. As you can see in this photo, Fountain Creek was still very high at that time, shortly after the severe flooding near Boulder and other areas.

My mother’s cat, Smoky, who is currently visiting, likes to keep me company when I am using my computer.

Mushroom Planet

I discovered these mushrooms behind the barn when I fed this morning. The mushroom to the right is ten to eleven inches across. This is the biggest mushroom I have ever seen in person.

View from the Ranch

I took this from with a friend’s iPod from the ranch where we used to trail ride. Pikes Peak can be seen a little to the right of the dead tree by the dry pond.
