January 3, 2011. They are all running together, though we have more snow on the ground right now than we have had all winter.
Northern Neighbors
The lower house was built a few years after we moved here. The house on the ridge was for sale when we were looking, but out of our preferred price range. I also wanted a place with relatively flat ground for a horse pasture. Having seen the lightning walk along the ridges during thunderstorms, I am just as glad we didn’t pick the place on the high ground.
