I did not expect to wake up to this much snow this morning:

A few days ago, we had one of our occasional spring snowstorms, which dumps a lot of wet snow, while staying close to 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Colorado Springs and El Paso County shut down for two days so that public works could clear the roads.
I was house sitting in southwest Colorado Springs where we got a LOT of snow. This is probably more snow than I have seen on my Forrester in years.

The trees looked like this:

We are supposed to get a bit more today and tonight. Fortunately, the ground seems to be too warm for it to freeze on the roads.
Yesterday, the forecasters predicted a trace of snow for our area. Instead it snowed most of the day. Our neighbor with the massive snowblower did our driveway and the sidewalk along the road. I suppose he figures that once he gets it started he might as well do the block.

For years I heard the phrase “too cold to snow” but decided it was a lie after moving to Colorado.
Jack’s personal weather station this morning:
Notice the minus 4F which was the outside temperature and the humidity of 86 percent. It’s not showing any precipitation because we are getting a very light, dry powder snow at present.
I googled the phrase “too cold to snow” and found that is is almost never too cold to snow. However, very cold snow will not hold as much moisture as temperatures closer to freezing. Another mystery explained, courtesy of Google.
