We saw this peculiar little plant while waking in Grant Grove at Sequoia National Park Walk through an English Country Garden at A Hot June Day in Autumn Cottage Garden.
I’ve added zinnias to the list of things that can survive even my attempts at gardening. The zinnias have survived being planted in a bed that was water-logged so much this summer that I was surprised anything could survive. They also survived several hail storms and a few pounding rains.
We were surprised by how much was still blooming at the Denver Botanic Garden in September. I hope I can remember that I want to plant some celosia next spring.
