We drove Jack’s new PT Cruiser up into the mountains yesterday. There seemed to be a lot of other people with the same idea, enjoying a mild March Sunday drive. There also seemed to be a lot of Colorado State Highway Patrollers on the prowl for speeders as well: I suppose the poor things had slim pickings over the winter.

Jack played golf for the first time this year; I cantered Lily for the first time under saddle since last fall; and I took this photo of crocuses in my trainer’s garden.

Petsmart has a good press release on canned pet foods that have caused renal failure in some pets. Check the list if you feed canned food.

The great Thoroughbred, John Henry, just celebrated his 32nd birthday. His caretakers report that he is just as mean and nasty as ever. (via matociquala)
