Spam Karma

When I installed the alpha version of WordPress 1.3 for Five Acres, I broke plugin processing. Among other things, this meant that the plugins I was using to control comment spam stopped working. Fortunately, WordPress 1.3 allows you to delete comment spam a lot more easily than did WordPress 1.2.

Yesterday, I wasn’t feeling very well, so I spent some time getting plugins to work on my weblog again. Once I did, I installed Spam Karma, about which I had read good things. It is working flawlessly for me, and I am gloating over the number of spams it has killed.

  1. Elaine, I installed Spam Stopgap and since then I haven’t had a single spam comment. I am totally amazed. This was after deleting over 2,000 in one weekend. I’m glad Spam Karma is working for you. This is the first I’d heard of it.
