I saw my first McCain yard sign last week — not in my neighborhood, but in a rural area outside of Portland. Most of my neighborhood is VERY liberal; at the caucus in ‘04 my precinct went for Kucinich. (sp?)

The thing I do find interesting/curious is that the house up the block that had a huge Bush/Cheney sign in ‘04, and that left up their sign for the GOP governor candidate way past all of our weird close election stuff here…no McCain signs yet.

Same with the huge sign in the empty lot around the corner: was Ron Paul all spring, now the GOP governor candidate with a slightly smaller sign for the GOP House candidate, and IIRC a candidate for state supreme court. No McCain.

By contrast, it seems like every 3rd house has an Obama sign. Hopeful? Maybe. Definitely not counting chickens before they hatch, tho.
