The obituary for my father-in-law, John Heneghan, appeared in the Washington Post yesterday. Although I knew he had been been involved in promoting civil rights in the south in the sixties, I had never realized he had been part of the Freedom Summer in 1964.

What a beautiful tribute to your father-in-law, Elaine. What a rich life he had–making a huge difference for a lot of people! Is your husband doing OK as he processes his loss? The Darth Vader balloon was eerie to see. I was reading about the recent balooning accident this morning in the L.A. Times.
